Dr. (Mufti) Imran Khan
President — Seerat Research Foundation
Dr. (Mufti) Imran Khan is a distinguished scholar, researcher, editor, academic,
and educator whose dynamic scholarly contributions have made him one of the leading
contemporary voices in Islamic Studies and Seerah research. As the President of
the Seerat Research Foundation, he provides visionary leadership to one of the world’s
largest Seerah research initiatives, guiding its academic direction and global outreach.
He has authored & edited more than 300 research articles in Urdu, English, and Arabic,
contributing significantly to the advancement of authentic Seerah scholarship across
multiple languages.
He has previously served as an Assistant Professor of English and Islamic Studies
at several top-ranking universities in Karachi, including NED University of Engineering
and Technology, Iqra University, PAF-KIET University, and Ziauddin University, where
he earned recognition for academic excellence and pedagogical depth. At present,
he serves as an Assistant Professor in the Department of English at Hamdard University,
Karachi. In addition to his university roles, he is a member of the Academic Council
of the Aleemiyah Institute of Islamic Studies and has worked with numerous institutions
as an academic coordinator, curriculum developer, and project planner. His influence
extends beyond academia into national media, where he has been associated with prominent
channels such as PTV, Dunya News, ARY News, ARY QTV, A-Plus, and Metro One, contributing
to educational and Islamic programming that has reached wide audiences across Pakistan.
His da‘wah engagements have taken him to more than 80 cities and towns, reflecting
his deep commitment to public education and community enrichment. In recognition
of his service, he received a formal letter of recommendation and appreciation from
the University of Engineering and Technology (UET), Peshawar, submitted to the Government
of Pakistan, endorsing him as an ambassador of Islam at the international level.
Moreover, the R&R Department of the Ministry of Religious Affairs and Interfaith
Harmony also endorsed him for his exceptional work on Seerah.
