Seerat Institute of Social Sciences and Comparative Religion
The Muslim Ummah today is confronted with a profound crisis in leadership, intellectual
development, and scholarly preparedness. Many traditional scholars remain unfamiliar
with the fast-evolving challenges of modernity—ranging from contemporary economic
systems and global cultural diversity to Western philosophy, atheism, and shifting
worldviews. The Seerat Institute of Social Sciences and Comparative Religion has
been conceived to bridge this critical gap. It aims to cultivate scholars who can
understand the realities of the age, engage diverse audiences with wisdom, and respond
to emerging intellectual, social, and ideological challenges.
The Institute will function as a platform where scholars can learn, collaborate,
and develop informed strategies to address the common concerns of the Muslim community.
By training imams, madrasa graduates, da‘wah workers, and religious teachers, the
Institute seeks to empower them with a deep understanding of contemporary issues,
equipping them to represent Islam confidently, honorably, and effectively in any
society. Through structured programs that highlight the complexities of the modern
world, students will be enabled to respond to questions with clarity, provide relevant
solutions, and embody the intellectual strength required for impactful da‘wah.
Training Vision and Objectives
The Institute will offer specialized training in:
- • Strategic leadership and administration
- • Dialogue, debate, and interfaith communication
- • Urban sociology and contemporary social sciences
- • Research methodology and textual analysis
- • Media literacy, journalism, and digital communication
- • Public opinion management and global relations
In addition, scholars will receive training in English, Arabic, Russian, and Chinese,
enabling them to present Islam globally. They will also be equipped with essential
computer and media skills to represent the Islamic narrative across television,
digital platforms, and social media networks.
International Journal of Seerah Studies
To promote scholarly research, the Institute will launch the International Journal
of Seerat Studies, first as a quarterly and later as a monthly publication. This
journal will provide a prestigious platform for academic contributions, addressing
global issues and presenting solutions rooted in the life and teachings of Prophet
Muhammad ﷺ.
Auditorium and Academic Space
A purpose-built auditorium with a capacity of 300–400 people will serve as a venue
for international Seerah conferences, workshops, seminars, and short-term courses.
These events will focus on solving contemporary global issues—such as Islamophobia,
blasphemy, and ideological challenges—through the guidance of the Seerah.
Media Studio
A dedicated studio will be established for producing high-quality videos in English
and Urdu on Islamic and social issues. These recordings will be disseminated through
official Facebook pages, YouTube channels, and other digital platforms to reach
audiences worldwide and address modern-day concerns effectively.
A specialized Cyber Wing comprising Islamic scholars and expert software engineers
will work on the online Seerah Search Engine, digital media campaigns, and global
monitoring of religious and social challenges affecting Muslims. This team will
ensure that Islamic scholarship stays relevant, accessible, and digitally empowered.
Sacred Relics Gallery
A portion of the institute will be dedicated to exhibiting sacred relics of Prophet
Muhammad ﷺ, other Prophets, and the Companions. The gallery will also feature historically
accurate models of Makkah, Madinah, the Ka‘bah, Masjid Nabawi, and key locations
from early Islamic history. Exhibits may include recreations of ancient marketplaces,
ghazwah formations, and the old city of Madinah, offering visitors a deeply immersive
historical experience.
Halqa-e-Durood
Within the relics area, a serene space—Halqa-e-Durood—will be established for continuous
recitation of Durood-o-Salam. A blessed hair of the Holy Prophet ﷺ will be housed
at the center of the room, where designated individuals will maintain uninterrupted
recitation, and visitors will be encouraged to form circles (halqas) to send salutations
upon the Prophet Muhammad ﷺ.
